John Locke and Thomas Hobbes had both created their own claims on government and how society should be. I agree with John Locke’s claims rather than the claims made by Thomas Hobbes. This is due to the fact that the claims made by John Locke were based around the natural rights of people (John Locke worksheet). While Thomas Hobbes claims were based on having a strong sovereignty to ensure that there is peace (Thomas Hobbes worksheet). Locke’s claims were very similar to those of a democracy and giving people a say and letting them have a voice when it comes to government. Hobbes ideas relate to the ideas of a dictatorship. This is because it gives the sovereignty complete power over the people. Due to these reasons, I agree with Locke's ideas because it is more for the people, which I feel is better when it comes to ruling a country.
